About the Job

As the Sales & Marketing Specialist, you will be responsible for providing support to ensure the efficient day-to-day operation of the Marketing department, as well as manage the day-to-day administration of all sales incentive plans, industry trends, forecasting, and communication. The expected split time between sales and marketing responsibilities will be approximately 50%/50%.

How You’ll Make an Impact

  • Coordinate and support trade shows and events, including internal meetings/summits.
  • Operate in a cross-customer relationship environment.
  • Lead the operations management for the marketing team, including the shipping and stock management of marketing materials and assets.
  • Ensure legal and regulatory approvals of all communications.
  • Drive the documents control approval process.
  • Draft, format, and edit new and existing content and a range of documents.
  • Organize and support marketing campaigns for partner programs across distribution channels.
  • Manage and process invoices and POs and ensure vendors are paid in a timely manner.
  • Partner with the legal team on managing commercial contracts. Take charge of accurately loading and updating customer pricing in contracts, guaranteeing alignment with agreed terms and facilitating smooth business operations.
  • Identify key customer contacts to support marketing and sales leads.
  • Support other marketing initiatives and programs as needed.
  • Partner with sales leadership and finance to develop and refine sales compensation plans that are competitive, equitable, and aligned with company goals and sales target.
  • Analyze market trends and industry benchmarks to inform compensation plan design decisions.
  • Administer the commission structure for sales representatives, including calculating commissions, bonuses, and incentives based on sales performance metrics and quota attainment. Ensure accuracy and timeliness in commission calculations and payments.
  • Analyze sales performance data to assess the effectiveness of compensation plans and incentive structures. Identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for improvement, and provide insights to sales leadership to optimize sales performance.
  • Collaborate with finance and sales teams to forecast sales compensation expenses and budget allocation. Monitor actual performance against forecasted targets and recommend adjustments as needed to maintain alignment with financial goals.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, regulatory requirements, and legal standards related to sales compensation practices. Stay informed about relevant laws and regulations governing compensation and make recommendations for policy updates as necessary.
  • Develop and maintain reports and dashboards to track key performance indicators (KPIs) related to sales compensation, including sales attainment, commission payouts, and budget utilization. Provide regular insights and analysis to stakeholders to support decision-making processes.
  • Communicate sales incentive plans, policies, and changes to sales representatives and other stakeholders effectively. Provide training and support to ensure that sales teams understand their compensation plans and incentives.

On Your First Day We’d Like You to Have

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or relevant combination of experience, education, and training
  • 3+ years of industry experience
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to communicate in a clear, concise, professional manner
  • Accountability to follow through to task completion
  • Excellent teamwork skills with proven ability to collaborate across multiple disciplines to ensure marketing success
  • Ability to prioritize and smoothly manage multiple competing deadlines and tasks
  • Keen eye for and attention to detail

It’s Great If You Have

  • Demonstrated interest in healthcare, hospital operations, and medical devices
  • Experience with digital marketing and commercial tools and platforms such as Hubspot, Netsuite, SFDC, 6Sense, AI tools (Jasper/Pictory/SurferSEO, etc.)
  • Self-directed with awareness to proactively seek advice when needed
  • Demonstrated ability to work creatively amidst competing priorities
  • Ability to create/clean-up presentations for both internal and external use
  • Prior experience administering sales incentive programs

Salary Range:

  • $85,000 - $104,000 (salary range for candidates based in San Jose, CA)
  • Compensation for the role is based on geographical location. Should the level or location of the role change during the hiring process, the applicable base pay range may be updated accordingly.
  • Compensation also depends on a number of factors including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies and experience and may fall outside of the range shown.
