We are looking for a highly motivated Marketing Manager to join our team!

The Marketing Manager will be an integral part of the commercial team. Reporting to the Chief Commercial Officer, you will work cross-functionally to contribute to our go-to-market strategy, positioning and messaging for our products. You will own and lead the execution of outbound marketing workflows to achieve the growth of our commercial footprint. You will establish yourself as a highly regarded colleague among the sales team. This is a critical commercial role with regular exposure to internal C-suite executives and R&D leaders.

How You'll Contribute:

The Marketing Manager will own and lead the following specific Workflows:

  • Continued optimization and expansion of company website. On a scheduled basis, organize and assemble scientific, technical, application related content from key internal colleagues, collaborators, and customers. Enrich website to present critical information in a timely and effective manner.
  • Organize, schedule, conduct monthly webinars with guest speakers from internal colleagues, collaborators, and customers.
  • Conduct oversight of company social media channels. Creatively, thoughtfully contribute and act to increase followers. Be a social media listener in the company’s ecosystem, monitor and engage as warranted.
  • Maintain annual tradeshow calendar. Oversee all budget and spend, registration, planning, scheduling of events. Organize internal and external company sponsored attendees and speakers. Act as showrunner to successfully execute all tradeshow activities.
  • Share the ownership and production of marketing materials with product managers. Product Managers will create content, you will partner with them to own graphical layout of materials, maintain brand alignment, and produce digital and hardcopy.

General, foundational expectations of the role:

  • Creates sales enablement tools and customer support content in close collaboration with sales leadership and customer support leadership.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align on commercial strategy, priorities and brand vision.
  • Leverage business insights and expert feedback to provide active input into the development and review of brand strategy and tactical plans.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of campaign strategies through campaign measurement and metrics development.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications, Skills, Knowledge & Abilities

  • Bachelor's degree is required. 7+ years of Life Science/Biotech industry, particularly NGS or related genomic marketing experience, is strongly preferred.
  • Must have demonstrated track record of hands-on website content development, conducting webinars, social media channel cultivation, production of marketing/sales support materials, tradeshow management experience.
  • Exceptional storyteller and communicator capable of explaining complex scientific and technical concepts in simple terms.
  • Experienced with core digital marketing tools and metrics.
  • Ability to roll up your sleeves to contribute thinking about strategy or be flexible to create copy for one-pagers on short notice.
  • Able to interact with all levels within the company, thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Self-starter, comfortable with ambiguity, excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and capable of influencing cross-functional teams, including interfacing with key internal and external stakeholders.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally up to 30%.

At Ultima Genomics, your base pay is one part of your total compensation package. This role pays between $125,000 and $155,000, if performed in California, and your actual base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Please note that the compensation details listed in US role postings reflect the base salary only, and do not include bonus, equity, or benefits.
