Facilities Specialist

The Twist Wilsonville facility is devoted to manufacturing Twist’s DNA products. Reporting to the Wilsonville site Facility Manager, the Facility Specialist will manage all service vendors and be responsible for a variety of small to medium projects. The ideal candidate is self-motivated, being able to plan and manage their workload. This is an individual contributor position requiring no employee management. Professional advancement is based on performance.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Support Facility Manager in the day-to-day facility operations, helping to ensure that all KPIs and SLAs are met or exceeded
  • Coordinate and oversee administration of facility service vendors
  • Determine and certify the eligibility of prospective service vendors
  • Routinely inspect site to ensure facility vendors are meeting contractual agreements
  • Establish procedures and schedules for facility repair and maintenance, and assess and monitor facility repairs and maintenance to ensure quality and cost effectiveness
  • Keep records of maintenance, operating costs, and special permits
  • Provide project management assistance for large-scale renovation projects
  • Participate in all planning and budgeting associated with facility needs
  • Follow regulatory and ISO 13485 requirements
  • Manage Property Appearance Program, both interior and exterior
  • Manage Security Program and access control systems
  • Manage Waste and Recycling Vendors
  • Manage Visitor Management System
  • Manage Pest Management Program
  • Manage Janitorial Program
  • Manage site Food Service Vendors
  • Present Site Services Programs during internal and external audits

What You’ll Bring to the Team

  • An associate degree or equivalent experience
  • 7+ years of experience working in a facilities organization
  • Project coordination/project management experience including scope, budget, and schedule planning and management
  • Must have strong understanding of facilities management building operating systems
  • Maintenance Management System (CMMS) preferred
  • This is an external facing position requiring excellent verbal, and written communication skills with external vendors and internal customers
