We are looking for an experienced Product Analyst - Data Platform to drive feature specifications, user acceptance testing, and releases for our data integration, NLP, and curation pipelines. Our Data Platform team builds software to accelerate clinical research and help make patient care more personalized and data-driven. You will sit at the heart of Sema4’s health intelligence platform, Centrellis.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Partner with product managers to define product requirements, feature prioritization, and release scope based on user needs, strategic goals, and implementation feasibility
- Assess new datasets and feasibility of new data features
- Define functional specifications, user stories, acceptance criteria, test cases, process flows, data mappings, and user-facing product documentation for new features
- Conduct user acceptance testing (UAT) for dataset releases
- Coordinate across project stakeholders by planning meetings, creating presentations, and delivering status updates
- Monitor product analytics and provide ongoing support to users
- Communicate directly with users (clinical experts and data scientists) to understand customer needs and pain points
- Proactively identify ways to improve our operations
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in a technical, scientific, or quantitative field
- Familiar with agile software development methods and tools (e.g. JIRA, Trello, etc.)
- Strong understanding of relational database and data modeling concepts; healthcare data experience a strong plus
- Comfortable cleaning and analyzing datasets using SQL (must have) and Python or R (nice to have)
- Experience with data visualization tools like Tableau
- Familiarity with natural language processing (NLP) methods
- Rigorous attention to detail
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
- Strong problem-solving skills and willing ness to roll up one’s sleeves to get the job done
