We are looking for an experienced Associate Product Manager – Data Platform to drive product roadmap, feature specifications, and releases for our oncology data pipelines. Our Data Platform team builds software to accelerate clinical research and help make patient care more personalized and data-driven. As Associate Product Manager, you will sit at the heart of Sema4’s health intelligence platform, Centrellis. This job may be performed in the following locations: New York, NYÂ or Stamford, CT.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Become the domain expert for your product
- Partner with product managers to maintain the product roadmap and release schedule
- Determine product requirements, feature prioritization, and release scope based on user needs, strategic goals, and implementation feasibility
- Define functional specifications, user stories, process flows, test cases, data mappings, and user-facing product documentation
- Work within an agile engineering and design team to implement, test, and launch elegant, high-quality software releases
- Monitor product analytics and provide ongoing support to users
- Communicate directly with users (clinical experts and data scientists) to understand customer needs and pain points
- Analyze market trends, test product hypotheses, and identify new opportunities
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in a technical, scientific, or quantitative field
- Experience building and launching software (end-to-end lifecycle)
- Familiar with agile software development methods and tools (e.g. JIRA, Trello, etc.)
- Strong understanding of relational database and data modeling concepts; healthcare data experience a strong plus
- Comfortable cleaning and analyzing datasets using SQL (must have) and Python or R (nice to have)
- Outstanding listening, communication and interpersonal skills in verbal and written form
- Strong time-management and organization skills
- Rigorous attention to detail
- Able to develop domain expertise in a clinical area; background in clinical research and/or oncology a plus
- Strong problem-solving skills and willingness to roll up one’s sleeves to get the job done
