Talent Acquisition Lead – Hybrid (2 Days On-Site)


The Talent Acquisition Lead is the main point of contact for all things Recruitment at Quell Tx. You will report to the VP HR, and build a strong collaboration with the wider HR Team, to support the evolution of a first in class and innovative Talent Function that is designed for an ever-growing business. Your role will be to manage all headcount across the business including Research and Development, CMC – Product Delivery, Clinical Operations and Corporate, with strong focus on the UK environment.


  • Build strong relationships with Senior Leaders, hiring managers and other Stakeholders of the Quell Tx business
  • Understand each business unit, their stakeholders and future recruitment requirements to prioritize workload
  • Qualify, shortlist and manage all direct and referred applicants
  • Advertise and promote all Quell Tx roles on the Careers website and other internal / external means as required
  • Source candidates via job boards and LinkedIn
  • Present relevant profiles to hiring managers
  • Prepare candidates for interviews both virtually and onsite, ensuring a cultural fit with Quell from the outset
  • Arrange and coordinate interviews for and on the hiring managers behalf
  • Create and manage a vacancy tracker to ensure alignment of activities
  • Define a strong working relationship with all agency suppliers to support recruitment activity
  • Arrange briefing calls, interviews and negotiate employment offers to prospective candidates
  • Champion the candidate experience and ensure every applicant has a positive experience
  • Work closely with the VP HR to understand potential succession, backfill and unexpected urgent requirements within the business
  • Play an active role in ensuring the smooth onboarding of all staff
  • Utilise current candidate data and market data to ensure that salary ranges remain competitive
  • Highlight key trends and risks to key stakeholders and engage in action planning to mitigate market risks


  • Hands on Biotechnology / Life Science Talent Acquisition experience
  • Proven record of direct sourcing strategy
  • Ability to drive relationships with several different stakeholders and hold credibility in your role
  • Organised, diligent and logical in managing key recruitment workflows
  • Able to prioritise and communicate different business needs both internally and externally
  • Demonstrated success in managing and fostering productive relationships with agencies


  • Working experience with Applicant Tracking Systems
  • Highly efficient with Microsoft 365
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Ability to operate in a changing / fast-paced environment
  • Confident and pragmatic problem-solving ability
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English

  • Knowledge of compensation surveys an advantage
