POSITION SUMMARY:

The EMR Field Specialist is responsible for the on-site customer support for new and existing laboratory EMR integrations, with a focus on user training and initial production support for electronic interfaces with health systems and clinics. Broad interaction between Natera EMR Solutions Team, Natera Sales, client and vendor resources. This position will require travel to customer sites across the US up to 75% of their time.

POSITION LOCATION: Remote, US

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assist in onboarding of new EMR interfaced clients (health systems and large clinics)
  • Provide field technical support for existing EMR customers
  • Key tasks include:
    - Work with Sales and EMR Team on scheduling on-site customer visits
    - Travel to customer sites to help with the EMR interface on-boarding
    - Provide EMR training and support
    - Troubleshoot existing interfaces and provide feedback to clients, vendors, Sales and Operations
    - Analyze EMR utilization data and work with clients to increase electronic orders rates
    - Work closely with EMR Team on key initiatives and product updates
    - Perform other duties as assigned
  • This role works with PHI on a regular basis both in paper and electronic form and have access to various technologies to access PHI (paper and electronic) in order to perform the job.
  • Employees must complete training relating to HIPAA/PHI privacy, General Policies and Procedure Compliance training and security training as soon as possible but not later than the first 30 days of hire.
  • Must maintain a current status on Natera training requirements.
  • Employees must pass post offer criminal background check.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field such as, IT, Engineering, Economics, or equivalent
  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant related experience, preferably in laboratory space
  • Must have knowledge of different hospital EMR systems (Epic, Cerner, etc.), lab workflow and client workflow.
  • Proficiency in Excel
  • EMR training / elbow support experience preferred

  • Self-motivation, with the desire and capacity to work both independently and collaboratively

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to be able to communicate effectively with all audiences, including customers, commercial team and senior management.

The pay range is listed and actual compensation packages are based on a wide array of factors unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, years & depth of experience, certifications and specific office location. This may differ in other locations due to cost of labor considerations.
